Taiyo Profile

Tom “Taiyo” Madsen, born in Denmark, started kickboxing and Budokarate as a teenager. He is the founder of Krav Maga Survival and GEMMAF and co-founder of IMMAF.

In his sporting career he was a member of the WKA Kickboxing National Team Denmark (3 years), Amateur World Champion in MMA IMAC, Amateur World Champion in Grappling (2x) IMAC, MMA Instructor, Trainer Shooters. He took 2nd place at the IMAC Kickboxing World Championships and 3rd place in the European Championships Pankration.
He has the following Master degrees: 8th Dan in Kyokushin Budokai, IBK International Budo Kaikan – All Round Fighting, 7th Dan Krav Maga Survival, CHIEF INTRUCTOR + BODYGUARD, 6th Dan Kyokushin Karate, 7th Dan Kickboxing K1 / IBK. Tom “Taiyo” Madsen is director of IMMAF and director of IBK.
He was trained by Flemming Schröder, Gene LeBell, Gokor Chivychian, Jon Bluming, August Wallèn, Carl Otto Knudsen, Mihran Agvinian, Eli Leffler and Raffi Liven and others.

Tom “Taiyo” Madsen holds the following positions: Board member of INTERNATIONAL BUDOKAI KAN (IBK), Kyokushin Budo Kai / Allround Fighting, referee for WKA, IBK, Shooters MMA, instructor, trainer, founder of Krav Maga Survival (KMS), board member, Director Germany of the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) and founder of the German Mixed Martial Arts Federation (GEMMAF).
